==Ingredients==
:2 tablespoons olive oil
:1 medium yellow onion diced
:2 medium carrots diced
:2 large cloves garlic minced
:1 tsp ground cumin
:½ tsp ground ginger
:½ tsp ground turmeric
:½ teaspoon red chili flakes
:1 tsp sea salt
:1 tin chopped tomatoes
:150g split red or puy lentils
:1l vegetable stock
:bunch rainbow chard  - stems roughly chopped, leaves shredded

==Method==
#Soften onion and carrot in the olive oil in a large pot.  After a few minutes add the chopped chard chard stems and cook till onions start to take a little colour.
#Add the spices and cook for a minute.  Add the tin of tomatoes and cook and reduce a little.
#Add the stock, bring to a boil and add lentils
#Cook for 10-20 minutes or until lentils are done - puy lentils will take longer than red.
#Add the chard leaves and cook for 5 minutes at most. Check seasoning and serve
