Ingredients

the ingredients below are for a quick and dirty version - see scan below for alternatives
tin of chickpeas
tin of spinach
300ml water (maybe less)
4 tbsp tomato puree
1 tsp salt
50g butter
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp ground cumin

Method

  1. put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
  2. Simmer for 15 minutes or longer - don't let it dry out or add too much water to become soupy.
  3. Eat hot, or allow to cool, or chill as suggested below.
