Ingredients

500g potatoes (vastkokend, i.e. a waxy or salad potato like Charlotte, Binten)
butter (melted)
salt & pepper
garlic

Method

  1. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes, e.g. on a mandoline, to the thickness a coin.
  2. Rub an ovenproof with a clove of garlic. Fill the dish with at least four layers of potatoes, each generously lubricated with melted butter and well seasoned with salt and pepper.
  3. Cover disk with foil and bake in an oven 190℃ for 45-60 minutes. Remove foil 10-15 minutes before end to brown top.
